The company

PIPO Moteurs is a French company located in Guilherand-Granges, in the department of Ardèche, a few kilometers from Valence (Drôme).
It specializes in the design, development, manufacture, maintenance and fine-tuning of internal combustion engines. Our engines are either designed for motor racing, or adapted to all contexts requiring performance and endurance in constrained environments.

years of experience

Of international outlook

Over the past 50 years, we’ve worked with leading manufacturers all over the world: in Europe with Peugeot, Bentley and BMW, in Asia with Hyundai and in the United States with Ford.

Over the years, we have acquired expertise and know-how that are unique on the market, assets that enable us to meet the most innovative and ambitious challenges.

FIA world titles

Symbol of performance and reliability

We’ve won consistently over the years in a variety of disciplines, thanks to the engines we’ve been able to produce in our workshops, sometimes to very tight deadlines.

This enabled us to win manufacturers’ titles – with Ford, Peugeot, Hyundai & drivers’ titles – notably thanks to the victories of Marcus Gronholm, Petter Solberg and Gabriel Tarquini.

months

A record time

Just 10 months – that’s how long it took us to develop the twin-turbo V8 engine entered in the World Endurance Championship from scratch. It finished 4th and 5th in the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours, aiming for a podium finish in 2022.

Guided by experience and high standards, Pipo Moteurs will always adapt its services to the unique projects of each of its partners.

The management

Fred Barozier – His job? Expert engineer in the design and development of competition engines. 25 years of experience in internal combustion engine projects at Pipo Moteurs.

An entrepreneurial spirit and a leader recognized for his pragmatic approach and innovative ideas, he has a global vision of how the company operates and how its various businesses interact.

So naturally, he’s the ideal person to take over as Managing Director of the company in 2017, on the retirement of its founder, Jean Pierre Fleur.

A shareholding structure

In 2017, Eximium became Pipo Moteurs’ reference shareholder to ensure the company’s managerial and capital transfer on the departure of its founder.

A family-office created by Michel Baulé, Eximium is an atypical player, with a dual entrepreneurial and financial culture, managing a wide variety of investments.

A unique collaboration has been established with Pipo Moteurs, based on a shared vision of the market, and offering strengthened resources to seize new development opportunities.

A passionate team

Pipo Moteurs currently employs around twenty highly qualified and experienced engineers, designers, technicians and mechanics.

A team of enthusiasts who put their heart and soul into every project, and whose main ambition is to fully satisfy their customers’ expectations.

On average, our employees have been with the company for 15 years. And we’re constantly on the lookout for young talent to strengthen the synergy of our team.
